Villa Casalta

Villa Casalta is situated on top of a hill from were it is possible to enjoy the magnificent postcard view of the Valley of Chianti Rufina. Villa Casalta is ideal for people that are looking for intimacy and relaxed time in indipendent and comfortable apartments, with wifi connection, panoramic private swimming pool, terrace and parking lot, laundry and barbecue. Villa Casalta is composed of indipendent apartments; it is possible to book exclusively the entire property for a total of 14 people and it is also possible to add extra beds on request. One of the apartments has a dish washer, oven and a big dining table; its living room is the most appropriate to be the common room of the Villa. In case you would rent exclusively the property, we can organize breakfast in loco. It is possible to rent every apartment individually. Villa Casalta is part of Agriturismo il Giardino, where you can find the reception, the educational farm, the riding centre and the restaurant. The products of our labour can still be purchased directly from the farm such as extra vergin olive oil, pasta, jams and marmelades, cheeses, eggs, meat and salumis.

Where possible we use our own products in the dishes served in our Taverna where you can finish the day trying traditional tuscan meals and enjoying a glass of Chianti. If you are in search of somewhere to relax in peace and quite than the swimming pool with its panoramic terrace and sunbeds is the perfect place for you. For the more sporty amongst you there are walking paths, mountain bike trails and horse trekking available. For those who wish to add a culinary experience to their holiday Agriturismo il Giardino can offer different possibilities. You can partecipate in cookery course, visit the families frantoio where we produce our olive oil which you can try. Or travelling in our nine seater land rover we can take you to visit some of the best vinyards in Tuscany with a chance to visit the cellars and try the wines. Families with young children on the other hand may prefer to visit our farm and its animals where the children can help feed and in some cases pet the animals. Not forgetting that there is the possibility to get in the saddle of one of our horses or ride on our pony and trap. Our ponies are available during the week when we organize pony rides in the countryside. And this is just the beginning! We have available a night time jeep ride to Montegiovi (994 m above see level) from where we have a magnificent view of the lights of Florence. For the more adventurous an early morining hunt with a local guide and dogs to find truffles in the hills above our farm is possible. For lovers of horses we offer lessons for beginners to experienced riders and a variety of different treks in the beautiful tuscan hills.
